Classification system
1. Classified by structural form
Integral titanium flange: The flange is integrally formed with the equipment/pipeline, suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature scenarios.
Welded titanium flange: Connecting pipes by welding, matching the pipe wall thickness, used for high-pressure systems.
Flexible titanium flange: composed of flange rings and flanges, easy to disassemble, suitable for pipelines that require frequent maintenance.
Threaded titanium flange: commonly used for low-pressure, small-diameter pipelines through threaded connections.
Socket welding titanium flange: fixed by socket welding, suitable for small diameter medium and high voltage systems.
Flat welding titanium flange: divided into plate flat welding and neck flat welding, suitable for medium and low voltage scenarios.
2. Classified by connecting components
Container titanium flange: Used for pressure vessel interfaces, it must meet sealing and pressure requirements.
Titanium pipe flange: used for connecting pipeline systems, it needs to be adapted to the size and pressure rating of the pipeline.
3. Classification of sealing surface forms
Protruding surface: the most common, suitable for medium and low pressure.
Concave convex surface: enhances sealing performance, used in high-pressure or vibration environments.
Mortise and tenon surface: high-precision sealing, used for special working conditions.
Ring connection surface: suitable for ultra-high pressure systems.
Standard system
1. International standards
ASME standards: including B16.5 and B16.47, covering pressure ratings and dimensions.
DIN standards: such as DIN 2633/2634, German industrial flange standards.
EN standard: EN 1092-1 is the European universal flange standard.
2. Domestic standards
GB/T series:
GB/T 9112-2010: Standardize the types and parameters of steel pipe flanges, with some provisions applicable to titanium flanges.
GB/T 16598-2013: Performance standards for titanium and titanium alloy flange materials.
3. Industry standards:
HG/T 20592-2009: Chemical industry flange standards, including titanium flange marking methods.
JB/T 82-2015: Technical specifications for flanges in the mechanical industry.
4. Grade requirements for forgings
Grade I: Carbon steel/austenitic stainless steel forgings with nominal pressure PN 0.25~1.0MPa.
Grade II and above: General forgings with PN 1.6~6.3MPa.
Grade III: PN ≥ 10.0MPa flanges, PN>4.0MPa chromium molybdenum steel forgings, and low-temperature ferritic steel forgings.
5. Material standards
Pure Titanium Series: TA1、TA2, Suitable for conventional corrosive environments.
Titanium alloy series: TA9、TA10、TC4, Used in high temperature, high pressure, or highly corrosive environments.
